Our Story
It all began with a couple of friends and a love for spirits
Story Time
The idea for Thunderwalker's Bar was born in a livingroom with five friends drinking on the couch. All five had either worked as bartenders in the past or present and were sharing stories and recipes. It became clear that there was passoin and a desire to do what other bars around the city did not. They came together with a business plan and a proposal to secure a loan to open Thunderwalker's Bar, a name which pays homage to a great friend and fantastic genuis behind the bar that had passed away in 2013.
They recognized that their city did not have a bar that specialzed in craft spirits and cocktails. So they set out to make an oasis for their fellow breverend spirit lovers. With this attitude they created an amazing space that has knowledgable staff which focus on create experiences centered around the perfect balance of spirits and prestine ingredients. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally with a focus on sustainability and are incorporated seasonally. Check in often to see what new creations have been made, you don't want to miss out. Just because a drink or meal was on the menu last time you came, doesn't mean it will be there next time, so check in regularly.
Community Involvement
The community plays a big role at Thunderwalker's Bar and we try to incorporate as many activities and activism as we can. We often organize fun events thorught the month and support local charities.
One of our favorite practices and something that we are incredibly stoked about is our partnership with The Cat Butler, a non-profit group that advocates for and improves the living standards of stray cats. We even have a drink on the menu called "The Cat Butler" which is always changing with the season. Even better is that 100% of all profits from that drink are donated directly to the group to promote the health and wellbeing of the cats.
